Can I listen to the tracks before I buy them?

Yes, every single track in the catalogue is displayed with an online MP3 player. Just click on the green play button in the track listing to start the sample.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay for your tracks with a credit card or with a PayPal account if you already have one set up . Our transactions are processed through PayPal but our customers do not need a PayPal account to make a purchase.

You can also use debit cards or 'eCheques' but PayPal advises that with these methods, it may take 7-9 days for your payment to clear.  So your download information will not be instant - as it would be with a credit card

If you would like to pay by cheque or invoice, please contact us.

Is my payment information secure?

You only share your details with PayPal secure banking and not with us. We never get to see your credit or debit card details.

How do I use the online shop?

You'll find more detailed instructions on our Using the shop page, but here's a quick overview:

  1. Browse our catalogue sampling the tracks available.
  2. When you see one you want to purchase, add it to your basket by clicking on the Add to basket link.
  3. You will be taken to your basket automatically to review your selection so far.
  4. You can return to browsing or, if you're ready with your selection, click on Checkout.
  5. You will be asked to confirm your order and agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Then you complete the transaction by credit card (We use PayPal secure banking to accept payments, but you don't need a PayPal account to shop - although using one if you've already got one is fine too).
  7. When that's done you return instantly to download and save your track(s)

How do I get my tracks?

Our system automatically redirects you to the download area once payment is confirmed. Click on the download arrow icon to download each track.

You can access your tracks from ' My Account ', 'View Orders' for a limited time after purchase.

You will also receive email containing links for you to click for each song you have purchased if it's more convenient for you to download later. If you successfully downloaded via your order in My Account, you can ignore the email.

Important: if you cannot find the download emails in your inbox, please check your spam folder. If you have any problems at all, please contact us, and we'll try our best to help you.

Please note: In the download email, there will also be a purchase code with each track. This code should be entered automatically by clicking the link, but in the rare event that this does not happen, simply copy the code and paste it into the box on the download screen. Then press Return to start the download.

What do I do if I can't download my tracks?

If you are unable to download your tracks, please contact us. We will help you diagnose the problem and if we can't solve it, we will arrange an alternative delivery method for your tracks.

I paid for my download but I have not received any details of my account. What should I do?

Almost all payment transactions go through smoothly with no problems, but in some rare cases emails will not go through because of spam filters, pending transactions, slow servers, etc. Please allow up to four hours to receive any emails from our system (it usually only takes a few minutes).

If you have not received any information from us please contact us and we will be happy to investigate the problem for you.

I've downloaded a track but I can't find it on my computer. Can you help?

If you regularly download files of any kind from the internet, you will probably find the MP3 in the folder you normally download to.

Unless you have specified a different folder, the normal default location for file downloads is C:\My Documents\My Received files.

If you have any problems at all locating the files you have downloaded, please contact us and we will do whatever we can to help you find them or discuss an alternative way to get the files to you.

I can't find the song I am looking for: do you do requests?

You can request a track using our online form. We will add new songs to the library as soon as we have time, and let you know that we've added your request to the catalogue. With this method, we can't guarantee a delivery date as demand is sometimes high.

If you need your track by a certain date, please contact us about our recording service.

Are the songs only available in the keys shown in the catalogue?

No, we're always expanding the selection of accompaniment mp3s in response to singers needs. If you require a track in a different key, please let us know. If it's one that can be added to the catalogue, we will record it as soon as possible and let you know by email when it's on the site. If you need the new key version by a particular date, please contact us.

Please note: We don't provide transpositions of operatic arias on the site unless the composer has made provision for it, but if you need a special transposition, we can still provide it for you as a special 'one-off' recording.

Does Your Accompanist do custom recordings?

Yes, we do. In the past we've worked with everyone from individual singers to large community choirs to put together tailored rehearsal track packages. Please contact us if you'd like more information about this service.

Does Your Accompanist sell CDs?

We only have one CD currently available: our Christmas Carol Accompaniment CD. However, we can burn your order to CD for an additional charge. Please contact us if you'd like to take advantage of this service.

Who is playing the piano?

Our pianist is Michael Baron. You can read more about him in this interview.

How do I request a track to be added to the catalogue?

You can request a track using our online form. We will add new songs to the library as soon as we have time, and let you know that we've added your request to the catalogue. With this method, we can't guarantee a delivery date as demand is sometimes high so if you need your track by a certain date, please let us know as we also have a 'prioritising' service.

I have a question about music. Do you know anyone who can help me?

Your Accompanist is delighted to receive questions about music history or theory especially relating to the MP3s in our catalogue, playing the piano or teaching class singing. We cannot guarantee to know the answer, but if we can help, we will.

We don't sell or redistribute sheet music ourselves but we can usually help you locate music providers or suppliers. We also have a large music library, so if there's something that you would like to find, please ask and we may be able to provide the answer.

Selected questions and answers may be published on the website, or in a newsletter and we won't post your details if you tell us not to. Just use the contact form to get in touch.
