Tracks for singing with kids

Are you at home with children or teaching music online?

1 Singing with little ones: the tracks can be used to support early years individual or group activities, clapping games, storytime, either at home or online. 

2 Teaching or learning singing: Nursery Rhymes can make great playful stress-free warm ups for junior and adult choirs and individuals. They can be used for practising diction, learning intervals, guess the tune…

3 Creative video soundtracks: create a video assignment to tell the story of the nursery rhyme. Make a stop-motion animation, act, do puppetry or a slideshow for the visuals. You could even make up new words to tell a different story, or find a way to combine them to tell a longer story. Great for budding graphic designers, videographers, animators...

4 Teaching languages: singing helps us learn new languages very effectively. Make up new words to familiar tunes, and that stuff will stick like glue! If you’re teaching English as a foreign language, and you’ve never tried singing with your students, this one is really for you... 

5 History lessons: ask your learners to find the words of the nursery rhyme and perform associated hand actions or dances. Learn about the origins of the words. Where did the song come from and what real world people and events are being described?
