Born 1877  in Paramé, Brittany and died 1968 in Paris. Pianist and composer who studied with Fauré. (treble soloist in first performance of the Fauré Requiem). Fellow student at the Paris Conservatoire and a lifelong friend of Ravel. First pianst to perform Ravel's 'Valses Nobles et Sentimentales' (of which he is dedicatee). Wrote music for ballets, mélodies and one opera, 'La Fôret Bleu'.
