Using the shop

Browse our catalogue sampling the tracks

Simply browse the catalogue, listening to the samples by clicking on the green play button next to each track. All samples are the first 30 seconds of each track which should be long enough for you to decide if this is the right key, speed and interpretation for you.

2 When you find a track you want to purchase, click on the Add to Basket link

Clicking on the Add to Basket icon will tell our system that you would include a track in your selection to purchase. There's no limit to the number of tracks you can have in your basket, and because they're downloadable products, you can only ever be charged for one copy of each track, so don't worry if you add something more than once by mistake.

3 Review your selection

Each time you add an MP3 to your selection you will be taken to your basket automatically to review your track choices so far. If you change your mind about a track that is in your basket it can easily be removed by clicking on the trash can icon on the right.

4 Continue browsing or begin the checkout process

If you would like to choose more songs, click on the Continue Browsing icon at the bottom of the basket page. This will return you to your most recently viewed page, or search result list. If you're ready to make a payment and start your downloads, click Checkout.

5 Confirm your order

If you do not already have a user account with us, you can create one as part of the checkout process. If you do already have one, simply enter your user name and password. Also at this stage you'll be able to enter a promotional code if you have one. When you're ready, tick the box agreeing to the terms and conditions, then click Confirm Order.

6 Make your payment

When you've confirmed your order, you'll be taken to PayPal's secure payment page. You can use a credit card* or pay from a PayPal account if you already have one. You do not need a PayPal account to shop with us. We use PayPal as a  secure means of accepting our payments (just like a regular bank) so we don't hold any personal information relating to your payment ourselves - only PayPal receives your card details.

For credit card payments, please use the panel on the left of the card payment page and ignore any PayPal login. (only log in to PayPal if you want to use your PayPal account)

*Please be aware that you can also use a debit card or e-cheque to pay but it will cause a delay to the release of your downloads as this type of payment has to clear through the banking system (may take several days to do so)

7 Download your tracks

When the payment has been successfully completed, you'll be automatically returned to the Your Accompanist website's download area. Click on each track to start the download. The speed of downloading will depend on the speed of your internet collection and the size of the file you have purchased. Zip files will usually take significantly longer.

Please ensure that you chose the 'Save File' option and save to your chosen location. It's important to remember not to open the files until you have saved all of them to your hard drive first.

We also send a back-up email containing your download links as an alternative means of accessing your tracks.

Tracks can be downloaded again if necessary, for a limited period (approx. one week). We offer this facility in case it is not convenient for you to download at the time of purchase or if your download gets interrupted for some reason.  But if you 'open' the file instead of saving it to your desktop or download folder (e.g. to play the song), you will quickly use up the number of times you can download the file within the download period and you will receive an error message. Save the file to your computer or storage device and you will have it for keeps.

If you have any problems at all with downloading your tracks, please don't hesitate to contact us.

8 Get singing

Once you have successfully downloaded the tracks to your computer, you can start rehearsing via the computer itself using a media player like iTunes or Windows Media Player. You can also burn them to CD or transfer them to an external device such as an iPod. For more help with this, please view Using your MP3 tracks.
